The buses from Viña del Mar to Concon are very frequent, the ticket costs 400 pesos and there are numerous places where you can take them. I still find strange using these kind of vehicles, they seem to me more of a truck rather that urban buses. All of this seem new to me, which makes better the whole experience and the feeling od adventure because the way to Concon has a lot of curves.

After several curves, going up hills and the noise of the crowd, because the bus was full, we saw the Concon dunes and we got off there. A curious thing, you can take the bus almost anywhere, if you make a stop signal to the driver, he normally stops even without being under a carport. Another thing that amused me is the fact that there are two ways to indicate that you want to get off: Give a shout or pull a cable.

One of the things that could be done in Concon is rent a sandboard to go down the dunes, it costs 1,000 pesos for 90 minutes, in my humble oppinion I found the price very cheap. You can rent two kind of sanboards: The most popular is the one designed to stand on the board while going down and the least famous is the one that look like a kind of sledg). Considering my clumsiness and balance absent, I decided to go with the last one. The climb to the top of the dune was hard, it was pretty hot that day and it was uncomfortable because my shoes sliped every time I tried due the sweat on my feet.

Of course, this plan implies carrying tons of sand to house and the need to drink gallons of water, To be honest this is just a small price to pay for the fun that you would get there. A friend also told me that you can surf in that area, maybe someday I would dare to surf. So to resume this whole experience, I can say that you don't need to spend a lot of money to enjoy Con-Con at it's finest.
